Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited
The Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited (CSE: XOP) is a company in the Petroleum exploration and production sector of Canada. The company was incorporated in January of 2020 and it is the largest shareholder of Husky Energy, a leading producer of crude oil in Canada. The company owns two main petroleum exploration properties, named Husky XL in British Columbia and Husky Tern in Alberta, and it owns a number of exploration leases in Mexico and Central America. The company has been producing natural gas for many years and it holds an attractive spot on the Canadian Energy Market, making it very popular in many parts of the country. For example, it operates three facilities in the province of British Columbia and it also has contracts for production in various areas of the United States as well.
In a recent press release COPL stated, "They have appointed Public Relations Consultants in all four provinces (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) who will provide advice on all aspects of the Company's operations. They will include consultation on everything from communications to investor relations to communications planning". This statement seems to suggest that the public relations department is taking over management of the company. In fact, the press release states that the PR department has a number of clients that they will consult with in order to help them formulate the right marketing strategy. It would seem that as this company grows and gets more clients they will be leaning heavily on the PR department to assist them in implementing and executing strategies to maximize ROI. Hopefully this new trend will continue and we may see COPL's Public Relations strategy become more important in its day-to-day operations.
